The Francis de Sales Scientific Society (TNFS) was founded by Salesians with the purpose of integrating the scientific community of friends and members of Salesian Family. The Society's main goal is to organize research and educational activities in the spirit of St. Francis de Sales - patron of scholars and educators. The Society is open to everyone who, in the spirit of faith, sincerity and Christian humanism exemplified in the life of St. Francis de Sales, leads scientific research and educates the youth.

The Society leads scientific work, publishes works and promotes scholarship especially in the fields of humanities. The Society initiates and organizes symposia and scientific conferences. It also publishes "Seminare. Scientific Investigations", a periodical that functions as a platform for exchanging ideas by a wide variety of scholars from Poland and abroad.
